Winnie Jo Miller 88 of Neodesha, KS. Passed away Monday October 19, 2020 at Morning Star Care Home in Neodesha, KS. Memorial service will be Monday October 26, 2020 at 11:00am at the Bethel Church of God North East of Neodesha, KS. on Highway 75. Visitation will be Sunday October 25, 2020; The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS.
Winnie JO Miller was born July 2, 1932 in Neodesha, KS. the daughter of Curtis Lester and Bernice Moletta (Mahaffey) Vantrease. Winnie attended school in Neodesha and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1951.
On June 21, 1951 Winnie Jo married Richard Grafton Miller in Neodesha, KS. and they lived in Independence, KS. for a while before moving to Neodesha, KS. living the rest of her life. Winnie work in the kitchen at Wilson County Hospital for 5 years; then Winnie Jo started Babysitting until she retired.
Winnie loved crafting and loved to make Christmas ornaments for her grandchildren, and they loved getting them from her every year. Winnie loved to travel with her sons on trips. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and friends. Winnie was a member of the Bethel Church of God.
Winnie is survived by 3 sons Rodrick A Miller and wife Ilene and Rick D Miller both of Neodesha, KS. and Robert L Miller and wife Rhonda of Dearing, KS; one brother Glen Vantrease of Arkansas; and 4 sisters, Betty Jean Horzich of Springfield, MO. Bernetta Bishop of Owasso, OK.; Patty Lever of Udall, KS.; and Gayle Goode of Nixa, MO. and 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and one on the way.
Winnie is preceded in death by her husband Richard Miller and her parents Curtis and Bernice Vantrease and son Richard Miller; two Infant brothers Vernon L and Richard W Vantrease; and one great grandson Lane Ryan Miller.
