William Edward Chipman, 79, went home to be with his Lord November 28, 2018 at Freeman Health Services in Joplin, Missouri. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on December 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nazarene in Neodesha, Kansas.
William Edward Chipman was born on February 25, 1939 in Beaverton, Michigan. The middle child of Charles Claude and Mary Alice (Potts) Chipman, Bill grew up in Sycamore, Kansas and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1958. Bill married Sandra Kay Bush on February 12, 1987 in Neodesha, Kansas. Through the years, Bill worked at a Co-op in western Kansas, a tire shop in Colorado, worked as a maintenance man at Walmart and operated his own tire repair shop in Neodesha. He loved collecting knives, fishing, watching Fox News and spending time with his family and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Claude and Mary Alice Chipman.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Chipman of Neodesha, KS, daughters, Kris (Jeff) Cain of Neodesha, KS Kim (Ed) Powell of Wichita, KS, Crystal (Danny) Witcher of Edmond OK, sons, Michael (Lena) Cunningham of Neodesha, KS, Steven (Sarah) Cunningham of Chanute, KS, brothers, Richard Chipman of Long Beach CA, Charles Chipman of Wichita, KS, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be left in Bill's name to the Church of the Nazarene in Neodesha and may be left with Loran Fawcett Chapel. A special message of condolence may be left to the family by visiting www.loranfawcettfuneralhome.com.
