VIOLET VI MARIE GEIGER Violet VI Marie Geiger, age 88, of Neodesha, Kansas died Monday, March 17, 2003 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Vi was born March 2, 1915 in Neodesha, Kansas to Freah M. and Edna Rebecca Jay Vollmer. She grew up in Neodesha, Kansas and graduated from Neodesha High School. Vi married John McCullough and he preceded her in death July 9, 1961. On December 21, 1964 Vi married Mathew Geiger and he preceded her in death October 18, 1985. Vi worked for Dr. Willems as a nurse and later her and husband Matt ran the Chicken House Bar Grill in Sycamore, Kansas. They also later ran the 1100 spot in Neodesha, Kansas. She was a member of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church, a charter and life member of the Auxillary VFW Post 5962 and also a member of the Eagles Auxillary. Survivors include one daughter Judy Callarman of Joplin, Missouri, one grandson John Callarman of Neodesha, Kansas, three step daughters Sherryl Geiger, Kim Lockhart, Debbie Fucci and one step son Gary Geiger; one sister Minne Bell Bryant of El Dorado, Kansas and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, one grandson, and four brothers and one sister. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2003 at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2003 at the Grandview Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Friends may sign the register at Loran Fawcett Funeral Home Thursday, March 20, 2003 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or cards may be sent to Judy Callarman, 1122 S. Jackson, Apt. 1, Joplin, Missouri 64801.
