Vickie Secrest

Vickie A. Secrest, 67, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Christ Church in Neodesha. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha.

Vickie was born on March 12, 1947 in Neodesha to Iven E. and Mary Jane Burns Anderes, Sr. She grew up and attended school in Neodesha.

Vickie was united in marriage to Terry Secrest in November of 1964 in Neodesha. The couple later divorced, then remarried on July 6, 1979 in Miami, Oklahoma. She worked for Airosol Company in Neodesha for over 26 years. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3018 in Fredonia, Kansas and Eagles Aerie 3448 in Neodesha.

In addition to her husband Terry, she is also survived by two sons, Danny Anderes and wife, Kimberly of Neodesha, Kansas, Shane Secrest and wife, Karla of Parsons, Kansas three daughters, Michelle Bohannon and husband, Jamie of Neodesha, Kansas, Tammy Leck of Neodesha, Kansas, Ashley Robinson and husband, Nick of Chanute, Kansas a brother, Iven Anderes, Jr. and wife, Stephen of Kearney, Missouri twelve grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
