Vickie E. Friess Vickie Elaine Friess of rural Neodesha, KS, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at her home. She was 50. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius. Rev. Stephen Baxter will officiate. Interment will be in the Neodesha Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call to register Thursday from 2-5 p.m. or at the Rosary service The daughter of Gary Allen and Caroline E. Nickum Gile Sr., she was born May 24, 1956, in Wichita, KS. She moved with her family to Conway Springs, KS during her junior year of high school and graduated from Conway Springs High School in 1974. She was united in marriage to J.D. Friess on July 26, 1975, in Conway Springs. The couple moved to Neodesha in 1975 where they owned and operated a farm and ranch east of town. Vickies special passion was caring for her baby and twin calves. She was also employed at Cobalt Boats for 20 years. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and was an avid Barbie Doll collector. She is survived by her husband, J.D. of the home; a son, Steve Friess and his wife Kristen of Cherryvale, KS; her mother, Caroline Gile of Viola, KS; two sisters, Jo Davis and Melinda Schulte, both of Conway Springs, KS; one brother, Gary Allen Gile Jr. of Viola, KS; and one grandchild, Kaden E. Friess. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Holly; her father, Gary; one brother, Jack; and a sister, Carol Sue.
