Treva I. Blaker Treva Irene Blaker of Altoona, Kansas, died Saturday, November 04, 2006, at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was 79. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at the Altoona Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha. Friends may call to view and register from 1-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. The daughter of Fred and Gertrude Kennison Schoonover, she was born September 28, 1927, in Neodesha, KS. She was a graduate of Neodesha High School. She was united in marriage to George Blaker on January 2, 1947, in Independence, KS. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1995. Mrs. Blaker was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Neodesha and the United Methodist Church of Altoona. She is survived by two daughters, Jolanda Moon of Altoona and Jackie and husband Jimmie Stewart of Wichita, KS; one sister, Norene Bryant of Sugarland, TX; five grandchildren, Brandon Moon, William Perkins, John Stewart, Joshua Stewart and Jacob Stewart; and three great-grandchildren, Kayley Perkins, Travis Perkins, and Annjolee Perkins. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Otto Schoonover; and two sisters, Wilma Pitcher and Alta Ruth Rowe.
