Sonnie Johnson

Sonnie James Johnson passed away at his home in Neodesha, Kansas on Sunday July 17, 2022at the age of 77.

He was born   January 9, 1945, to Hazel Shaffer and Cecil Botts. He married Patricia Johnson on December 11, 1967, in Miami, OK. They had five children, Bert Johnson, Lonnie Johnson, Robert Johnson and Tammie Tickle and Patricia Harness.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife Patricia, his sons Robert and Lonnie, and his daughter Tammie and Patricia, as well as several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his mother Hazel, his son Bert Johnson and wife Krista of Wichita, KS. as well as a brother, three sisters, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He spent most of his life as a truck driver, He loved spending time with his great grand babies, fishing, and going to gigs with his best friend and band mate Larry Curt. He was a member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles for many years. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back, anyone that knew him knew that if you called, he would be there, no matter the time or place, as long as there was Coffey.  He was loved by so many and a friend to all. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. The door was always open, the key was in the mailbox. Love You Papa.
