Shelley Ann Sarles Shelley Ann Sarles of Neodesha, KS, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. She was 60. Cremation has taken place under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Christ Church. The Reverend Dave Cheshier will officiate. The daughter of Benedict Bernard and Shirley SchlaffShaw Bertram, she was born July 10, 1951 in Dearborn, MI. She graduated from Bentley High School in 1969. She later received an associates degree in business from Laimson College. On February 21, 1982, she was united in marriage to Albert Sarles in Las Vegas, NV. He survives at the home. The couple lived in Phoenix, AZ for 10 years before moving to Camino, CA, in 1986. They moved to Neodesha in 2001 where she was a homemaker. She owned and operated Shels Novelties in Neodesha. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning and cooking. Shelley was a rock and a foundation for her friends and family and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Shad Sarles and wife Cory of Sacramento, CA two daughters, Sherry Dodge and Shawna Schiler both of Independence, KS four brothers, Darryl Bertram and his wife Debbie of London, AR and David Bertram and wife Suzanne, Dorian Bertram and Dwayne Bertram, all of Dearborn, MI eight grandchildren, Shane, Shay, Shandra, Shelbae, Mariah, Cheyenne, Ashley, Christian and Selena and one greatgrandchild, Shaiden. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dion.
