Shawnee Rae Stark Shawnee Rae Stark, age 32, of Neodesha, KS, left tragically this mortal world on April 11, 2010. Born May 4, 1977 in the Norfolk Naval Hospital, Norfolk, Va., to Troy and Linda Stark. Born extremely premature she fought successfully for her tiny life and became the compassionate and kindly woman known by many in Neodesha. Her love of people and helping others was constant source pride for her parents. Shawnee graduated from Parsons High School. She had worked at New Beginnings Enterprises and other businesses in Neodesha, loved to go the local high school sports events and was an ardent Denver Bronco fan. Shawnee enjoyed fishing with her dad, shopping with her mother, and every sunrise and sunset. All to brief was her stay on this world. She leaves behind her grief stricken parents who reside in Cunningham, KS, and one sister, Kimberly A. Stark of Wichita, KS. Her beloved cat, Smokey, will be taken by her sister. She is preceded in death by her sister Deidrae, her grandparents, Ray and Aryleen Garvik of Sterling CO. and Neil and Elsie Stark of Ponca City, OK. Shawnee will lay at rest in PenwellGabel Funeral Home. Neodesha, KS. Friends and family are invited to say goodbye to her Friday, April 16th between the hours of 12 P.M. Shawnee will make her final trip to her resting place the following week and a service for the family and close friends will be in Winfield, KS. A graveside service is set at the Winfield Kansas Veterans39 Cemetery, Friday, April 23, at 3 P.M. The Stark family thanks the many residents of Neodesha that have come forth and shared stories about Shawnee. She will always be in our hearts and in our minds.
