Sharon Leedy

Sharon Lynn Leedy, 64, went to be with her heavenly father after her long hard-fought battle with multiple sclerosis on Monday, January 14, 2019. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 17th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Funeral services will take place at The Independence Church of the Brethren on Friday, January 18th at 10:00am with interment following at Neodesha Cemetery.

Sharon Lynn Leedy was born on February 3, 1954 in Independence, Kansas. Sharon attended and graduated from Independence High School in 1972. On February 17, 1973, Sharon married Raymond Leedy in Independence, Kansas. The two welcomed one child, and from that day forward, Sharon's life was complete. Her life revolved around taking care of her two boys. Through the years Sharon worked as a school bus driver for USD 461, owned and operated Circle L Sirloin, and the manager of Bill's Dollar Store. Sharon loved to garden, care for her animals, singing and doing yard work. Most of all Sharon loved the time she got to spend with her family and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Jim Wilson.

Those left to carry on Sharon's memory, husband, Raymond Leedy of Neodesha, KS, son, Ray and wife Debra Leedy of Cherryvale, KS, mother, Stella Wilson of Independence, KS, brothers, Jim and wife Kaylinda Wilson of Cherryvale, KS, Robin and wife Judy Wilson of Independence, KS, sister, Patti and husband Mike Timmons of Fredonia, KS, and two grandchildren, Trey Leedy and Kristen and husband Mick Torrey.
