Roy J. Millsap Jr., 70, of Neodesha, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 21st at 1:00 p.m. at the Neodesha City Cemetery, under the direction of Loren Fawcett Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.
Friends may come by the funeral home Monday, October 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to sign the guest book.
Roy was born September 14, 1944 in Osceola, Arkansas to Alford and Beatrice Turner Millsap. He grew up and attended school in Arkansas. He moved to Fredonia Kansas in 1977 and then to Neodesha in 1978.
He married Minnie Phillips on October 2, 1989 in Miami, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2010. Roy worked for Cobalt Boats for 20 years and was a foreman.
Roy had been a member of the Eagles Aerie 3448 and had served as President.
Roy is survived by his sons David and wife Nikki Millsap of Bradford, Ark., Jamie Millsap of Bold Knob, Ark., daughters Susan and husband Steven Powell of Searcy, Ark., Leva and husband Eddie Weicht of Neodesha, KS., a brother, Kenneth Millsap of Wichita, KS., sisters Peggy Bairley of Las Vegas, NV., Emma Jean Britt of Cave City, Ark., and Lucy Jabs of Searcy, Ark., eleven grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald E. and Billy Joe Millsap.
