Roy Johnson

Roy Neal Johnson, age 60, of Neodesha, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Cremation has taken place at his request. A gathering a friends and family for an inurnment service will be this Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas.
Neal was born July 28, 1952 in Neodesha, the son of Roy Johnson and Mary Glasgow Johnson. He attended Neodesha Public Schools. He had worked at Midwest Minerals for over 10 years before becoming disabled. He had been a past member of the Eagles in Neodesha.
He married Mary Beth LaForte in 1972 at Miami, Oklahoma, they were divorced in 1976. He then married Jerri Koch in 1978 in Miami, Oklahoma and they divorced in 1984.
Survivors include two sons: William Willie Johnson and Michael Dean Johnson, both of Neodesha, KS, a daughter Mary Elaine Manley of Winfield, Kansas and 5 grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Carl Ray Johnson of Thayer, Kansas and a sister Violet Kay Mayers of Neodesha, KS.
