Robert Bob Franklin Dotterer of Neodesha, KS, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at his home in Neodesha, Kansas under the care of Harry Hynes Hospice. He was 83. Funeral Services, under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel, will be Friday, August 20th at 10 a.m. at the Grace Baptist Church of Neodesha with Pastor Jim Logan officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. Friends may call to register on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Chapel, with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family has suggested memorials to the Grace Baptist Church of Neodesha or to Harry Hynes Hospice of Coffeyville, Kansas and can be left at the funeral home. Bob was born on July 14, 1927 in Byron, Oklahoma to Charlie amp Alta Beadman Dotterer. He graduated in 1946 from Driftwood High School in Driftwood, Oklahoma and then attended Southwestern College in Alva, Oklahoma. He worked for Standard Oil for twenty years before operating his own roofing company Dotterer Roofing for thirty years. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Neodesha and was in the National Guards from 1956 to 1981. On June 08, 1965 ,Bob,married Roberta Lindelow in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives at the home. Additional survivors include four sons Gary Karen Dotterer of Gold Canyon, AZ, DanSandra Dotterer of Norfolk, VA, Jeffrey Elizabeth Dotterer of Austin, TX and Michael Rhonda Dotterer of Haskell, OK two daughters Kathryn Gregg Keeling of Broken Arrow, OK and Cynthia McDonald of Houston, TX a sister Betty Cellars of Ark City, KS and a brother W.A. Dotterer of Salina, KS fifteen grandchildren Brian Andres, Cleveland, TN, Greg Andres amp Rob Andres, Wichita, KS Aaron Dotterer, Queen Creek AZ, Daniel Dotterer amp Lisa McAlexander of Dallas, TX Larry Dotterer of Norfolk, VA Emily Dotterer amp Jacob Dotterer of Austin, TX Jeffrey Keeling of Liberty TN Jenna Keeling of Bartlett, TN and Chelsea amp Courtney McDonald of Houston, TX and Noel Shinkle and Ashton Dotterer of Neodesha, KS and twelve greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donna Mae Reiger a daughter Carla Andres and a greatgranddaughter Madeline Shinkle.
