RICHARD MILLER Richard Miller, 72, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away, Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the Beverly Health and Rehab, Neodesha, Kansas. Richard was born January 28, 1933 in Bison, Kansas to Richard Grafton and Sadie Olive Jones Miller. He was raised and educated in Neodesha, graduating from Neodesha High School in 1951. Richard married Winnie Jo Vantrease on June 21, 1951 at the First Baptist Church, Neodesha, Kansas. Richard was a welder and worked at MEC for 37 years, retiring in 1995. Richard is survived by his wife, Winnie of Neodesha, Kansas; four sons, Richard Wayne of New Albany, Kansas, Ricky Dean of Warwick, Rhode Island, Roderick Allen of Neodesha, Kansas and Robert Lee of Dearing, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his dad, Richard G. Miller, his mother, Oliver Miller-Hush, his step dad, Roy B. Hush, and one great granddaughter. Visitation hours for Richard will be Saturday, July 09, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. Funeral services for Richard Miller will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2005 at the Bethel Church of God, North Highway 75, Neodesha, Kansas. Reverend Samuel Lever, pastor of the Nazarene Church, Udall, Kansas, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Neodesha City Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions to either the American Diabetes Foundation or the Hospice Care of Kansas. Memorials may be left with the funeral home.
