SERVICE DATE CHANGED TO BE WEDNESDAY DUE TO WINTER STORM Mary Margaret Peggy Gentry McKinley, former Neodesha resident, resident of Chanute, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Peggy was born December 27, 1940 in Neodesha, the daughter of Vance Gentry and Alberta Wilson Gentry. Peggy attended school in Neodesha and graduated in 1958. She was employed as a CNA for over 40 years before retiring. Peggy married Ray A. Hilts on June 28, 1957 in Neodesha, they later divorced. She married Herschel L. McKinley on September 2, 1977 in Neodesha Mr. McKinley survives of the home. Additional survivors include three daughters, Connie Gary Fail of Chanute, KS, Debra Hilts of Fort Scott, KS and Dana McKinley of Angleton, TX, along with grandchildren: Brandon Fail of Chanute, KS , Briana Williams of Ft. Scott, KS and Christopher Taylor of Georgia. She is also survived by her aunt, Dorothy Logan of Neodesha, KS, a brotherinlaw, Charles McKinley of Wichita, KS and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Delbert Gentry and a sister Linda Johnson. A memorial service under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel will be held at the Loran Fawcett Chapel on Tuesday, February 01, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will immediately follow at Neodesha Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial remembrances to Castaways PO Box 313, Chanute, KS or to the Cherry Street Youth Center 710 N. Forest, Chanute, KS and remembrances can be left at the funeral home.
