NEWS MEDIA NOTIFICATION PAUL M. CLIFTON Paul M. Clifton, 77, former Neodesha resident, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at his home in Rogers, Arkansas. Paul Melvin Clifton was born April 26, 1934 at Fredonia, Kansas the son Lawrence Alexander Clifton and Mary Lena Looman Clifton. Mr. Clifton attended and Neodesha schools and served with the United States Air Force. Paul was self employed as a Barber for many years in Independence and later in Lenexa, Kansas. He retired after closing his shop in Shell Knob, Missouri. On August 27, 1952 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Mamie Alice Fenner. Mrs. Clifton preceded her husband in death on December 28, 1996. Survivors include: his companion, Ruth Wells of the home four children, Paul D. Clifton and his wife Joyce of Phoenix, Arizona, Diane L. Hensler and her husband Bob of Lenexa, Kansas, Kim J. Hinman of Parsons, Kansas and Stacy E. Helmuth and her husband Roy of Merriam, Kansasl and a brother, Martin D. Clifton and his wife Sharon of Yuma, Arizona. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Neodesha Cemetery with the Reverend Dave Cheshier, officiating. The family will greet friends at the PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
