Mary Patricia Peitz Mary Patricia Pat Eversole Peitz of Neodesha, KS, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009, at her home. She was 83. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Mass of Christian Funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2009, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. The daughter of Ann Clancy Eversole, she was born September 14, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from St. Teresa Academy in Kansas City and attended Avila College in Kansas City. On September 6, 1948, she was united in marriage to Kenneth William Peitz in Kansas City, MO. They lived in Kansas City, Chickasha, OK, Childress, TX, and Tulsa, OK, before they moved to Neodesha in 1985 where they later assumed ownership of Neodesha Plastics. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1989. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse in Texas and Oklahoma. Pat was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, the St. Ignatius Catholic Church Altar Society, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, an Independence stock club, and was a member of the Society of Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary for 55 years. She was the former president of the W.A. Rankin Memorial Library Board of Directors, the former president of the Neodesha Senior Citizens Center, a former board member of the Southeast Kansas Area Council on Aging; and a former representative to the Silver Haired Legislature of Kansas. She served her communities as a volunteer for many years of her life. Survivors include two daughters, Letitia Tish Stuart and her husband John B. of Tulsa, OK, and Armella P. Mella Glenn and her husband Dr. Steve of Tulsa, OK; one son, Theodore K. Ted Peitz of Neodesha; six grandchildren, Patricia E. Holland, Mary Holland Suliburk, Jonathan I. Stuart, Samuel S. Stuart, Sophie Marie Peitz and Mitchell Kenneth Peitz; three great-grandchildren; and her former daughter-in-law, Carla Peitz of Neodesha. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her mother; one brother, Albert C. Eversole; three sisters, Mary E. Howe and husband Leo, Elizabeth Eversole and Katherine A.
