Opal Hull

OPAL MARIE HULL Opal Marie Hull, age 83 of Neodesha, Kansas formerly of Cherryvale, Kansas died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Opal was born April 8, 1921 in Salisaw, Oklahoma to Otis J. and Lola Bell Hester Young. Opal grew up in Hominy, Oklahoma and attended school there. On August 2, 1941 Opal married Ervin I. Hull in Hominy, Oklahoma where they made their home until moving to Dewey, Oklahoma in 1951. They lived in Dewey, Oklahoma for 11 years before moving to Cherryvale, Kansas in 1962. Ervin preceded her in death on February 25, 2001. Opal was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons Johnny Hull of Salina, Kansas and Leroy Hull of Quenemo, Kansas; one daughter Elizabeth Fink of Neodesha, Kansas,; three brothers Ervin Jay Young of Mulvane, Kansas; Howard Young of Pawhuska, Oklahoma and Jessie Young of Udall, Kansas; 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m.Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Marcy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Morehead Cemetery under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 5, 2004 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the American Lung Association and contributions may be left at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas.
