NEOMI FERN WILLARD Neomi Fern Willard, age 70, of Neodesha, Kansas, died Sunday, March 17, 2002 at the Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha, Kansas. Neomi was born January 4, 1932 in Altamont, Kansas to Lawrence and Maggie Cook Willard. Neomi grew up in the Altamont, Kansas area. On March 5, 1949 Neomi married Billy Eldon Willard in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They made their home in the Southeast Kansas area. Neomi did some nursing and was a homemaker and a former member of the Bible Baptist Church in Neodesha, Kansas. Survivors include her husband Billy; two daughters Sharon K. Cunningham of Chanute, Kansas and Janice Cooper of Neosho, Missouri; two sons Mike Willard of Chanute, Kansas and Mark Willard of Denver, Colorado; two brothers Bill Hall of Palm Springs, California and Harold Hall of Fredonia, Kansas; two sisters Silvia Drummond of Dennis, Kansas and Violet Sampson of Coffeyville, Kansas; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother two half brothers and one half sister. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at the Neodesha Cemetery with the Pastor Jim Logan officiating under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002 with the family recieving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the American Diabetes Association and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
