Naomi Shoop

Naomi Yvonne Shoop, 83, passed away at Golden Living Nursing Home in Neodesha, Ks. on Saturday, December 13, 2014, with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 17th at the Christ Church in Neodesha. Visitation will be Held at the Church, Tuesday, December 16th , from 68 pm . Yvonne was the daughter of Raymond and Buel Oakes Taylor. She was born on April 4, 1931 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was raised and attended school in Coffeyville, Kansas, until her junior year in high school, the family moved to Neodesha, Kansas. She graduated from Neodesha High School, there she met Marvin L. Shoop.
Yvonne and Marvin shared the same Birthday April 4, 1931.
On June 4th, 1950 she and Marvin were married at the Methodist Church, to this union was born, Raymond Wayne Shoop, Beth Ann Shoop Shinkle, and Carter Lee Shoop.
Yvonne worked at ACC, Steve Toggs, and Airsols. She also worked at the Neodesha High School as the head cook. Yvonne retired after several years at Neodesha High school this allowed her to travel with Marvin on his job at MEC.
They traveled all over the United States, Canada and Scotland.
She and Marvin have 11 Grandchildren Josh Shoop, Audrey Blecha, Rob Shoop, Jamie Shoop, Patty Harden, Staci Mitchell, LeeAnn Shoop, Shannon Shoop, Cari Gates, Trish Ryan, and Heath Shinkle.
They also have 17 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Buel Ray Bowman and her Son Carter Lee Shoop.
Yvonne loved cooking for her family, and sharing her recipes with her children and grandchildren, reading, crocheting and most of all camping and fishing with Marvin.

Family has requested memorials go to the Golden Living Nursing Home in Memory of Yvonne.
