Murl William Borton, age 93 of Neodesha, Kansas died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at the Beverly Health Rehab in Neodesha, Kansas. Murl was born October 17, 1909 in Clinton County, Ohio to Golder and Vera Frances Claybaugh Borton. Murl grew up in Port William, Ohio and attended schools in Port William, Ohio. On August 25, 1934 Murl married Anna C. Seyfferle in Dayton, Ohio where they made their home. They also lived in California, Phoenix, Arizona, and Neodesha, Kansas. Murl was a retired Tool and Die Maker. He was a member of the Showlow Elks Lodge in Showlow, Arizona and Moose Lodge in Piqua, Ohio. Survivors include his wife Anna of the home, two sons Gary R. Borton of Mims, Florida, Timothy C. Borton of Neodesha, Kansas, one daughter Sandra Hladky of Sycamore, Kansas; two half brothers Donald Borton of Sidney, Ohio and Golder Charles Borton of Sidney, Ohio; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one grandson. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Neodesha Cemetery with the Rev. Leslie Griffith officiating under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the Donoramp;s Choice and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
