Alice Reynolds Minnie Alice Reynolds of Neodesha, KS, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Shawnee Gardens Health Care Rehabilitation in Shawnee, KS. She was 88. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the Bible Baptist Church under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Pastor DeWayne Prosser will officiate. Interment will be in Neodesha Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 9 a.m.-noon and 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. The daughter of Ernest K. and Minnie Speaks Wilson, she was born January 17, 1919, in Fredonia, Kansas. As a youth, she lived in Fredonia and Buffalo, Kansas, where she received her education. She has been a resident of Neodesha for the past 68 years. She was united in marriage to Charlie Reynolds on January 18, 1937. They were later
orced. He preceded her in death July 18, 1989. Alice was employed by the Wilson County Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 1984 as the head housekeeper. She also was an attendant for the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home for 20 years and had been as a volunteer at the hospital since 1996. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and the Wilson County Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Charles D. Reynolds and wife Ruby of Neodesha; two daughters, Betty Hann of Neodesha and Carolyn Kay Bennett and husband Bob of Shawnee, KS; one sister, Margaret Phillips of Chanute, KS; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; five brothers; one son, Richard; two daughters, Linda Weveal and Charlotte Dunlap; one grandson; and one great-great-grandchild.
