Mildred Jeffers

Mildred L. Jeffers, age 89, formerly of Chanute and Neodesha passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Vintage Park Assisted Living in Fredonia, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Private Inurnment will be held at a later date. The family has suggested memorials to the Grace Baptist Church.

Mildred was born December 16, 1925 in Chanute, Kansas the daughter of A.G. and Mada (Hodge) Endlsey. She graduated Vialas Rural in Wilson County and attended the Neosho Community College and received her LPN associates degree. She worked in the Chanute area in nursing homes.

On November 17, 1944 Mildred married Marvin Jeffers in Chanute, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2009. The family lived in Chanute before moving to Neodesha. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Karol J. Foster of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Karla Holtzman of Neodesha, Kansas; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son Kenneth Jeffers, Son-in-law Dave Holtzman, one grandson Kent Jeffers, and two brothers Gerald and Neil Endsley.
