Michelle Renee Walter, age 43, of Chanute, Kansas died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at her home in Chanute, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Loran Fawcett Chapel with the Pastor Michael Linthicum of the Grapevine Church in Parsons, Kansas officiating.

Michelle Renee Walter was born July 23, 1971 in Phoenix, Arizona to Steven Hart and Dorothy Kereluk. Michelle grew up in Arizona and graduated from High School in Arizona. After high school Michelle moved to Cherryvale, Kansas. She was a homemaker and worked at Walmart in Chanute, Kansas. She was a member of NA and the Grapevine Church in Parsons, Kansas.

Survivors include her dad Robert Henslee; mother Dorothy Kereluk of Phoenix, Arizona; husband Claude Smith of Chanute, Kansas; daughter Shyla Henslee of Parsons, Kansas; brothers J.W. Bair of Neodesha, Kansas and Jaime Hart of South Carolina; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter Carina Renee Walter.
