Mary Pete C. Johnson Mary Catherine Johnson of Neodesha, Kansas, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at the Wilson County Hospital. She was 70. At the familys request, cremation has taken place under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. A private family ceremony will take place at a later date. The daughter of John and Eula Smith Glasgow, she was born September 13, 1936, in Mulberry, Kansas. She was raised in Thayer, KS, where she attended school. She was employed by Emerson Electric in Independence, KS, for a number of years before retiring. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and looking after her family. Survivors include two sons, Roy Neal Johnson of Neodesha, KS, and Carl Ray Johnson of Thayer; one daughter, Violet Kay Mayer of Neodesha; her companion, Curtis Hall; two brothers, Johnny and Jack Glasgow, both of Neodesha; one sister, Lucille Foster of Neodesha; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
