MARVIN L. MILLER Marvin LeRoy Miller, 88, of rural Neodesha, Kansas, died Monday, February 14, 2005, at the Wilson County Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2005, in the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. The son of Henry E. and Mary Ann Tincknell Miller, he was born February 13, 1917, in rural Neodesha, Kansas. He graduated from Neodesha High School in 1935. After graduation from high school, he was employed by the W.J. Small Company. He later farmed for most of his life south of Neodesha, retiring in 1998. He was united in marriage to Louise Gardner on May 7, 1946, in Sedan, Kansas. She survives at the home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Donald Miller of Neodesha, Robert Miller of Independence, KS, and J.D. Miller of Overland Park, KS; one daughter, Donna Jones of Stillwater, OK; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Virginia Miller; two sisters, Myra Carr and Elizabeth Miller; and three brothers, Melvin, Albert and Horace Boots Miller. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilson County Hospital Foundation and may be left at the funeral home.
