MARGARET D. JAMES Margaret Dean James of Neodesha, Kansas, died Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas. She was 77. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2005, in Ross Cemetery west of Neodesha under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. The Reverend Carl Soliday will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. The daughter of Cecil Robert and Katherine Ellen Royer Low, she was born August 2, 1928, in Rantoul, Kansas. She grew up and attended rural schools in the Mound Valley and Cherryvale areas. On December 14, 1944, she was united in marriage to Charles O. James in Columbus, Kansas. Before coming to Neodesha, the couple also resided in Wichita, Cherryvale, Parsons, Chanute and Independence. She had been a resident of Regal Estates for the past three years. He survives at the home. Mrs. James was a homemaker and member of the Church of the Nazarene. She was a former member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Cherryvale and Parsons. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Robert Bob James and Charles Chuck James, both of Neodesha and George W. James Sr. of Labette City, KS; two daughters, Marjorie Eaton of Labette City, KS, and Mary Dulohery of Parsons, KS; one brother, George E. Low of Dayton, NV; one half brother, Cecil E. Low of McCune, KS; one sister, Capitola F. James of Parsons, KS; one half sister, Helen M. Prater of Yellville, AR; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
