LUCILLE B. HARE Lucille B. Hare, 89, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away Saturday, March 04, 2006 at Via Christi, St. Francis Campus Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Lucille was born February 05, 1917 in Altoona, Kansas to Lawrence A. and Helen E. Cottle Surmon. She was raised and educated in Altoona and Neodesha. Lucille married Leonard F. Sandy Hare on June 24, 1960 in Neodesha, Kansas where they made their home. Leonard preceded her in death on June 04, 2004. Lucille began working with Veterans Adminstration in Wadsworth, Kansas. She then worked at the Wilson County Hospital and the Golden Keys Nursing Home as a housekeeper for numerous years. She most recently was working for a friend helping clean the First Neodesha Bank . Lucille was a member of the First Church of God, Neodesha. She loved to help serve lunches at the Senior Citizens and working out at the Fitness Center. Lucille is survived by three children, Janice Howard and Bob Hare both of Neodesha, Kansas and Connie Martin of Altoona, Kansas; two sisters, Ava Beeman and Hazel Moore both of Neodesha, Kansas; three grandchildren; and two great granddaughters. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and one granddaughter Visitation hours for Lucille will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 8, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. Funeral services for Lucille B. Hare will be held at 2:00 p.m, Wednesday, March 08, 2006 at the First Church of God with Reverend Les Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions to either the Rankin Library, Large Print Books or the First Church of God.
