Letha B. Berry, age 93, of Chanute, formerly of Fredonia and Neodesha, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Neosho Regional Medical Center in Chanute. Letha was born June 18, 1917 in Neodesha the daughter of Frank Hare and Rozella Duft Hare. She attended Neodesha schools. On December 30, 1933 she married Addison Berry in Fredonia. Mr. Berry preceded her in death. After their marriage they moved to Neodesha, then to Altoona. Following the death of her husband she moved to Chanute to be closer to her family. Mrs. Berry is survived by her daughter: Sharon K. Roseberry of Chanute, 2 sisters, Lorene Newton of Altoona and Darlene Roets of Neodesha, a brother, LeRoy Hare of Topeka. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 36 greatgrandchildren and 12 greatgreat children. She was preceded her death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. Graveside services will be Monday, May 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the Shelly Bethel Cemetery north of Neodesha with the Pastor Jim Logan officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial remembrances to Horizon Hospice, memorials may be sent in care of the funeral home. PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
