Leon W Mustain, 92, of rural Neodesha, KS passed away at his home Tuesday, March 15, 2016. A graveside service will take place Monday March 21st at 10am at the Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, KS. A visitation will take place at Loran Fawcett Chapel Sunday March 20th from 1pm-8pm with family receiving family and friends from 6pm-8pm.
Leon was born April 7, 1923 in Oologah, OK to Olen and Maggie Mustain. After graduating from Neodesha high school in 1941 he joined the army. He served overseas with 142nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in the European Theater and did a considerable combination welding and repairing automotive equipment. He was in the army from July 1943- March 1946.
On August 11, 1951 in Albuquerque New Mexico he married Dorothy (Drake) Mustain. They made their home in rural Neodesha in 1951. He started Leon's Used Cars in 1951 thru 2008 when he retired due to declining health. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his family was the most important thing to him.
Survivors include: Grandson, Travis McRoberts of Independence, Grandson and his Wife Wesley and Tricia McRoberts of Neodesha, Great Grandson, Garret McRoberts of Neodesha, Son in law Raymond McRoberts of Neodesha, Brother, Don Mustain of Altoona, and Sister Jean Prosser of Missouri.
Leon is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mustain, daughter Debbie McRoberts, brother Wayne Mustain, Sister Jerry Ray, and both parents, Olen and Maggie Mustain.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Parkinsons Association or The Heart Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Loran Fawcett Chapel.
