Leo Blevins

Leo P. Blevins, age 84, of Neodesha, KS, passed away November 27, 2012 at the Neodesha Golden Living Center. He was born July 29, 1928 in Neodesha, KS, the son of Leo P. Blevins and Bessie C. Teters Blevins. Leo attended Neodesha schools and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1948. After graduation he served in the National Guard Neodesha Cherryvale units for 20 years, as a cook with honors.
Leo had lived in various locations before moving back to Neodesha in the late 1960s. After several different jobs he became selfemployed.
In 1950 he married Marilyn Shipley in Wichita, KS and they later divorced. Leo then married Margaret Ann Bradley on September 6, 1968 in Falls City, Nebraska. Mrs. Blevins preceded him in death on June 14, 2012. He is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter: Randy and his wife Pam of Tulsa, OK Cindy Hasse of Martinez, CA David of Neodesha and Danny and his wife Stacy of Independence, KS. He is also survived by 2 stepdaughters: Nancy and her husband Mike Foltz of Roeland Park, KS and Karen and her husband Jeff Nichols of Prairie Village, KS. He is survived by 10 grandchildren and several greatgranchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Mark Blevins and 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Private memorial service with family will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Parsons and may be sent to Loran Fawcett Chapel.
