Lela May Damon McDonald Seitz, age 83 years, currently of Wymore, formerly of Neodesha, Kansas died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010 at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center. She was born on March 03, 1927 to Almeda Robinson and Columbus Damron. Lela married Cecil McDonald and together they had six children. They later divorced. Lela was married to Lester Seitz on June 25, 1982 at Miami, Oklahoma. Lela worked as a cook at the Lantern in Neodesha. Lela enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and cooking in addition to her companions, Buttons and Skeeter. Lela is survived by her daughter, Barbara Kujath and her husband Stanley of Wymore, NE by sons, Roger McDonald of Neodesha Jimmy McDonald and his wife Lachelle and Lewis McDonald and his wife Janice, all of Larned, KS by a daughterinlaw, Jeannie McDonald of Larned by a sisterinlaw, Alice Shue of Oswego,KS. She was preceded in death by her parents by her siblings, Virgie, Alfred, Bud, George, Walt, and Burt Damron by her husband, Lester Seitz on Feb. 8, 2008 by a daughter, Virginia Gevara, and by a son, John McDonald. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at the PenwellGabel Fawcett Funeral Home, 704 Indiana, Neodesha. Friends may call from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. A memorial has been established in her name to the Wymore Good Samaritan Center residents Christmas fun and a special dinner in care of Barbara Kujath, 1405 West D Street, Wymore, NE 68466.
