John L. Quinn, Jr., 81, passed away on June 3, 2015 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 8th at 2p.m. at the Neodesha City Cemetery, under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel. Visitation will be from 3-8p.m. on Sunday, June 7th at the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
John was born on April 9, 1934 in Burlington, Vermont, the son of John and Bertha (Marlan) Quinn. He grew up and graduated from high school in that area. He enlisted in the U.S Air Force in March of 1958 and was honorably discharged in March 1962.
John married Donna Piatt on October 30, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 2011.
The family lived in Lee Summit, Missouri, where he worked for the Western Electric Company for 26 years before retiring. They moved to Independence, Kansas and lived for 14 years before moving to Coffeyville, Kansas.
John is survived by one son Gary Quinn of Independence, Kansas and two daughters; Sandra Greenwood of Parsons, Kansas and Linda McCullaugh of Centerton, Arkansas, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
