Joan Justice Joan Justice of Rogers, AR, a former resident of Neodesha, KS, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at Regency Hospital in Springdale, AR. She was 74. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha. Rev. Dave Cheshier will officiate. There will be a memorial service conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at the First Christian Church in Rogers, AR. Mrs. Justice will lie in state on Monday from 1-8 p.m. The daughter of Charles A. and Vivian Wilson Mayhood, she was born December 15, 1934, in Cherokee County, KS. She moved to Neodesha when she was a sophomore in high school and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1952. On March 15, 1953, she was united in marriage to Donald Marque Justice in Neodesha, KS. He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1997. Mrs. Justice had been a resident of Rogers, AR, for 22 years and had been employed as a travel agent for Travel Inc. before she retired. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Rogers. Survivors include two sons, Jay Justice of Rogers, AR, Jon Justice of Beaumont, TX; one daughter, Jan Barbee of Rogers, AR; one brother, Bill Mayhood of Independence, KS; one sister, Janice Paris of Broken Arrow, OK; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Glen Morris; two brothers, Raymond and Charles Mayhood; and one step-brother, James Morris. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.
