Jerry L. Millis, 65, died at his home in Neodesha after a battle with pancreatic cancer, Saturday morning, January 3rd, 2015.
Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Neodesha. Memorials are requested to the First United Methodist Church of Neodesha. Jerry also requested that everyone do a good deed for someone.
Jerry was born August 10, 1949 at the Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha. He was the son of Eugene and Mildred (Duft) Millis. He grew up and attended school in Neodesha and graduated in 1967.
Jerry married Sally Deweese on August 12, 1967 at the Nazarene Church in Neodesha. Jerry worked for Cable One for nearly 44 years and retired due to his health. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. He was a little league baseball coach for many years and loved to fish and hunt.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mildred Virginia Millis of Neodesha, sons' Michael and wife Jayne of Altamont, KS, Marty and wife Annie of Neodesha, KS, brothers; Timothy "Tim" Millis and Larry "Spike" Millis of Neodesha, KS, sisters; Karen Murray of Neodesha, KS, and Debbie Hughes of Big Springs, TX., and six grandchildren; Austin Raida, Kaitlyn Millis, Kaid Millis, Savanna Millis, Jillian Hagerty and Grace Hagerty.
