James Edward Wilson, 70, of Independence, Kansas, passed away on April 14, 2018 at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
James Edward Wilson was born on September 20, 1947 to James and Etta (Bolejack) Wilson in Kansas City, MO. James served in the United States Marine Corp and in Vietnam in 1965. After being honorably discharged, James spent most of his life in Seattle, WA before moving to Independence, KS. James was a barber for 45 years.
James is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 2 nephews, a niece and a great niece.
Those left to cherish James' memory include, sons, Billy Foster, of Pennsylvania, James Wilson, of Alaska, daughter, Michelle Eichenbaub, of Montana, brothers, Gene and wife Nina Wilson, of Hanover, IN, Richard and wife Reuah Wilson, of Plattsmouth, NE, Tom and wife Sarah Wilson, of Fredonia, KS, sisters, Jessie Ritzline of Deputy, IN, Mary Lee, of Bernice, OK, Jackie and husband Leland Anderson, of Neodesha, KS, and several grandchildren. At the request of the family, cremation has been entrusted to Loran Fawcett Chapel. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Assembly of God Church 2414 N. 8th St., Independence, KS.
