IMOGENE A. GREER Imogene Ann Greer, 73, of rural Chanute, Kansas, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005, at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. Friends may call from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. The daughter of Ira D. and Bertie Ethel Adams Stevenson, she was born November 18, 1931, in Morehead, Kansas, where she was raised and attended school. She married Jack D. Greer on March 22, 1950, in Manhattan, Kansas. After residing in Neodesha for a few years, they moved to Valmyer, Illinois, in 1955, where Mr. Greer was employed at the worlds largest mushroom farm. They returned to the Chanute, Kansas, area in 1969 where they made their home in rural Neosho County. Mr. Greer survives at the home. Mrs. Greer was a certified medical aide and had been employed at the Autumn Manor in Chanute as well as in the home health care field. She also had been employed as a production worker for Birdview Satellite Systems in Chanute. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jack Steven Greer and Lyle Martin Greer, both of Chanute, KS; two daughters, Beverly Carter of Harker Heights, TX, and Nancy Ritz of Wichita, KS; two sisters, Mary Louanis of Pompona Beach, FL, and Nadine Kennedy of Alameda, CA; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marian Sue; two brothers, Howard and Ora; and five sisters, Irene, Ella, Dorothy, Doris and Geraldine.
