Hilda Graves

Hilda Catherine Graves, age 87, of Neodesha, Kansas formerly of Englewood, Kansas died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Memorial Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Englewood Cemetery in Englewood, Kansas with the Pastor Jerl Joslin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma officiating.

The family has suggested memorials to the Cookson Hills Christian Ministry, Box 200, Kansas, Oklahoma 74347 or contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Chapel.

Hilda Catherine Graves was born March 12, 1927 in Englewood, Kansas to Sidney George and Margaret Catherine Austin Malt. She grew up in Englewood, Kansas and graduated from the Englewood High School.

On July 6, 1946 Hilda married Robert C. Graves in Ashland, Kansas. The couple made their home in Englewood, Kansas. Robert preceded her in death. Hilda worked as a Post Mistress and the Post Office in Englewood, Kansas until her retirement. She was a member of the Englewood Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons James Robert Graves and wife Marty of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Loran Richard Graves and wife Nyna one daughter Lora Jean Bayliff and husband Richard of Woodward, Oklahoma one nephew Cedric A. Graves of Amarillo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Graves one daughter Carol Fern Marcelles one brother Sidney A. Malt and her parents Sidney and Margaret Malt.
