HAZEL D. JOHNSON Hazel Delcina Johnson, 78, of Cherryvale, Kansas, died Saturday, January 22, 2005, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2005, in the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m.-noon. The daughter of Everett S. and Phoebe Anne Austion Quigley, she was born December 5, 1926, in Newton, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Harold Eugene Johnson on September 19, 1944, in Erie, Kansas. After her marriage, she moved to Neodesha with her husband where he was a millwright. He preceded her in death October 31, 1978. She retired as a cook for the Chanute Country Club. Survivors include four sons, LeRoy Dean Johnson of Halleyville, AL, Michael Johnson, Ray Johnson and Larry Johnson, all of Cherryvale, KS; six daughters, Pat Mundell of Cherryvale, KS, Linda Hare of Neodesha, Juanita Griffin of Dibble, OK, Tina Ogden and Brenda Brown, both of Parsons, KS, and Deborah; one brother, Clarence Quigley of Arizona; 25 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
