Harold Hon

HAROLD S. HON Harold S. Hon, 87, of rural Neodesha, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Wilson County Hospital, Neodesha, Kansas. Harold was born October 18, 1918 in Peidmont, Kansas to Joseph and Flossie Smith Hon. He graduated from Severy High School, Severy, Kansas. Harold married Ester Mardelle Broddle on July 27, 1938 in Peidmont, Kansas. They moved to the Neodesha area in 1958 coming from Valley Center, Kansas. They farmed in the Neodesha area until his retirement. Harold is survived by his wife, Mardelle of Neodesha, Kansas; four children, Patricia J. Davis of Shell Knob, Missouri, Ronnie Joe Hon of Allen, Texas, Jerry Lee Hon of South Lake, Texas, and Deborah Springer of rural Independence, Kansas; two sisters, Lucille Kerr and Lillie Bell Small both of Sarasota, Florida; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Cremation will take place under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a..m., Friday, December 23, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel, Neodesha, Kansas with Reverend Dave Cheshier officiating. His register book will be available for friends to sign at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. to service time on Friday. Prviate burial will take place at a later date.
