Frank A. High Jr., 93, passed away on December 12, 2016 at the Neodesha Care and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Altoona, KS on November 2, 1923, to Frank A. High Sr. and Mabel (Fielder) High. He was preceded in death by his half brothers, Guy Eagle and Claude Eagle and his brother Wayne High.
He graduated from Altoona High School in 1943. He married in June of 1943, and enlisted in the army. He served in the 745th Artillery Unit in the South Pacific.
He was married to Mildred Hayden, (deceased, 2016) from 1943 to 1954. He married Opal Cutsinger Reed, (deceased) from 1959 to 1999.
Over the years, he worked at Lorbeer Motors, W. J. Small, America Oil, M. E. C. and the City of Neodesha.
He was a member of First Christian Church and served as a deacon in the 60's and 70's.
He is survived by his step-daughters: Sherry (Don) Baldwin, Hixson, TN and Sue (Terry, deceased) Wilkes, Neodesha, grandchildren: Shawn (Laura) Baldwin, Andrea (Bob) McCurdy, Dan (April) Wilkes, Travis (Wyspher) Wilkes and five great grandchildren: Lane, Bronson, Blake, Chesney and Bailey.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Neodesha Cemetery, Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
