Flossie Labarr

FLOSSIE IRENE LABARR Flossie I. LaBarr, age 81, of Neodesha, Kansas died Friday, March 1, 2002 at the Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Flossie was born July 25, 1920 in Dewey, Oklahoma to George and Eva Anderson Blevins. On November 14, 1936 Flossie married James E. LaBarr in Yates Center, Kansas. Flossie was a homemaker and live most of her life in Neodesha, Kansas. She was a member of the Rebecah Lodge and the Royal Neighbors. James preceded her in death December 21, 1997. Survivors include one son David LaBarr of Neodesha, Kansas; five daughters Delores Talley of Winfield, Kansas, Betty Lacis of Alvin, Texas, Ruby Firestone of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Charlotte McColm of Topeka, Kansas and Laura Counsil of Neodesha, Kansas; 13 Grandchildren and 20 great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Mary and one granddaughter Theresa. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Cook and Rev. Jim Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Neodesha Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2002 with the family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society Breast Division and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
