Everett Jones

Everett W. Jones Everett Ed William Jones of Neodesha, Kansas, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the Wilson County Hospital. He was 53. Cremation will take place and a memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2006, in Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, KS, under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. The Reverend Dave Cheshier will officiate. The son of Everett L. and Mary Thompson Jones, he was born August 6, 1953, in Independence, KS. He was raised and received his education in Cherryvale, KS. He was united in marriage to Carol Ann Edwards on February 17, 1973, in Coffeyville, KS. She survives at the home. Mr. Jones served in the US Army in Germany from 1972-1976. He was employed as a sheet metal worker by Halliburton Services in Coffeyville for five years and later as a lot manager for various car dealerships in the Coffeyville area. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Everett W. Jones Jr. of Coffeyville, KS; two sisters, Cynthia Shepard of Ramona, OK, and Mary Burge of Coffeyville; one brother, John Jones of Derby, KS; one grandson, Trevor Jones of Coffeyville, KS. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, James Jones. Memorial contributions may be to American Diabetes Association and may be left at the funeral home.
