Erma Miner

Erma Jean Miner, age 39 of Altoona, Kansas died Friday, March 21, 2003 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas Erma was born September 27, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lorenzo and Erma Swartz. She grew up in El Dorado Springs, Missouri and in Hume, Missouri where she attended school. On May 9, 1980 Erma married Larry Miner. They made their home in Neodesha, Kansas until moving just outside of Altoona, Kansas. Erma was a homemaker and did crafts. Survivors include her husband Larry Miner of the home; two daughters Dusty McRoberts of Neodesha, Kansas and Tonya Miner of Neodesha, Kansas; six brothers Larry Swartz, Rick Swartz and J.R. Swartz all of Neodesha, Kansas; Rob Swartz of Idabelle, Oklahoma, Louie Swartz of Elk City, Kansas and Gary Swartz of Peabody, Kansas; three sisters Sheila Roach of Peabody, Kansas; Marsha Williams of Neodesha, Kansas and Nellie Gilkey of Hillsboro, Kansas and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the Christ Church with Dave Cheshier officiating. Burial will follow in the Altoona Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2003 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the Christ Church and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
