Emma Streets

EMMA STREETS Emma E. Streets, 80, of Neodesha, Kansas died Friday, February 06, 2004 in Chesterfield, Missouri where she had been residing since December. Mrs. Streets was born in Marine, Illinois in 1923. She had been a resident of Neodesha since 1944. She had worked at the Parsons Ammunition Plant during World War II, at Mills Grill, Aerosol, and the Foodtown meat market in Neodesha. Mrs. Streets will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a good neighbor, an avid gardener, reader, cook, and birdwatcher. Emma married Don L. Streets in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by two daughters, Madeline Raile of Chesterfield, Missouri and Mary Chapman of Lawrence, Kansas. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Don, four brothers and two sisters. Visitation hours for Emma will be Tuesday, February 10, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Graveside services for Emma E. Streets will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at the Neodesha City Cemetery. Pastor Dave Cheshier of the Christ Church will officiate.
