EILENE MARIE WASSON Eilene Marie Wasson age 66, of Neodesha, Kansas went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 11, 2002 at the Memorial Herman Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2002 at the Neodesha Cemetery with the Rev. Monte Stevicks of the Altoona First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held with the family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Eilene was born February 23, 1936 in St. Paul, Kansas to Floyd Frog and Maude Roberts Hayes. On April 26, 1952 Eilene married Monroe W. Wasson in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They have lived in Neodesha for the last 30 years. Survivors include her husband Monroe of the home, two daughters Sherry Mahaffey of Neodesha, Kansas and Karen Pickarts of Conway Springs, Kansas; two sons Rodney Wasson of Thayer, Kansas and Floyd Wasson of Altoona, Kansas; three sisters Violet Knowles of Joplin, Mo, Phyliss Cowan of Neodesha, Kansas and Linda Harden of Earlton, Kansas; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 sisters and 1 grandchild.
