Edith Jones

Edith E. Jones, 91, of Independence, formerly from Neodesha, died January 29, 2013 at her home in Independence.

Funeral services will be held January 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Neodesha Cemetery.

Edith was born November 7, 1921 in Clarksville Texas to Oscar and Maggie Hodges Stroupe. She grew up in the Clarksville, Texas area. She married Hollis Jones, on August 5, 1939 in Clarksville Texas. They moved to Neodesha in the early 60s. He proceeded in death December 4, 2008. After his death she moved to Independence to live with her daughter.

She is survived by one son, Wayne and wife Gloria Jones of Lebden Oregon, one daughter, Darlene and her husband Danny High of Independence, five grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, several greatgreat grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She will be reunited in heaven with her parents, her husband, her daughter Linda, and four sisters.
