Earl Eugene Seller, age 82, died at his home in rural Neodesha on Monday afternoon, December 26, 2011. He was born on December 3, 1929, in rural Sycamore Valley to parents Lloyd and Grace Seller. He had five sisters and two brothers. He attended school in Lafontaine and Independence, KS. He married Charlotte Catherine Ballinger of Lafontaine on August 14, 1949, and moved to Neodesha in 1951 with his wife and two sons, David Earl and Dennis Eugene Seller. He went to work at the Standard Oil Refinery and worked there until it closed in 1970. In 1963, he and his family moved to a small farm outside of Neodesha. After his wife Charlotte died in 1967, he married Dixie Jean Banzet of Oswego. Twentyfive years of marriage ended when Dixie passed away in October 1992. Another companion, Patsy Graham of Chanute, died in 2002. Mr. Seller also worked at ImcoSoutheast Manufacturing and Cobalt Boats until retiring in 1991. He continued to farm, helping his son Dennis during planting and harvest times until 2007 when health problems forced an end to his 70 years of hard work. He is survived by two sisters, Viola and husband Don Waldron and Beverly Biggs of Dennis, KS, and one brother, Gary and wife Sharon Seller of rural Elk City two sons, David Seller of Salina, KS, and Dennis and wife Marilyn of rural Neodesha four grandchildren, Cody and wife Lisa Seller, Tonya and husband Brad Bell, Evan Seller, and Katie and husband Chris Buchenau and six greatgrandchildren, Ethan and Skyler Seller, Bryce, Gage, and Taelyn Bell, and Cayden Buchenau. Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Christ Church of Neodesha, Dave Cheshier, Pastor. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery near Elk City, KS. Memorials are suggested to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Neodesha. Attending to Mr. Seller during his last few days at home were his sons, David and Dennis, and Dennis wife Marilyn, who he loved like a daughter.
