Dwyane Hicks

Dwyane R. Hicks, age 68 of Neodesha, Kansas died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at a hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Chapel. The family has suggested memorials to the Ayn Rand Institute, and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Chapel.

Dwyane was born December 27, 1946 in Neodesha, Kansas to Loren E. and Virginia "Reddington" Hicks. He grew up in Neodesha and graduated from the Neodesha High School in 1965. He earned a chemistry degree from Pittsburg State University and then entered the United States Air Force in 1970. He was honorably discharged in 1976, after serving in Michigan, California and Vietnam. Dwyane obtained an electrical engineering degree in Houston, Texas. He worked as both an electrical engineer and an airline pilot for many years.

On August 18, 1994 Dwyane married Jeri Eagan in Houston, Texas. He lived in London, England and in Houston, Texas prior to returning to Neodesha in 2004.

In addition to his wife, Dwyane is survived by a sister Marsha Smith of Cleveland, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Janyce Brown.
