Douglas Glen Beisly, 55 of Altoona, KS, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, at The Cancer Treatment Center in Tulsa, OK.
Graveside services will be Friday, July 5, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Ross Cemetery west of Neodesha under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha, KS.
Douglas Glen Beisly was born February 19, 1964, in Vinita, OK to Richard and Elizabeth (Morrow) Beisly. Glen lived in Oklahoma and Missouri before moving to Kansas where he lived for 37 years. On March 25, 1986, Glen was united in marriage to Rebecca Shinkle in Neodesha, and they made their home in rural Altoona. Glen was employed with A-Lert Construction of Fredonia.
Glen loved to fish, hunt, and work in his garden. He also enjoyed tinkering with motors and with anything he could. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and his loving family. Glen will be missed by all of his family and friends.
Glen is survived by his wife, Rebecca, and parents Richard and Elizabeth Beisly of Altoona. He is also survived by his son, Joshua Beisly, and daughter, Veronica Beisly, both of Altoona. In addition, he is survived by two brothers, Mitchell Bryce Beisly and wife, Peggy, of Neodesha, Franklin Beisly of Altoona, and sister, Debra Beisly and Dallas York of Altoona. He had three grandchildren, Avery, Damien, and Bryson.
